DOEE Announces $1,070,000 Funding Available

Grants Available to Manage Stormwater Incentives and Coordinate Anacostia Watershed Partnerships in the District of Columbia

WASHINGTON, DC – October 5, 2015 – The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) seeks eligible entities to plant trees, install conservation landscaping, and replace impervious surfaces with pervious pavers or vegetation on private residential properties in the District; to strengthen District residents’ understanding of stormwater issues and management; and to coordinate existing and future efforts of District stakeholders to implement water quality improvements in the Anacostia Watershed. This amount is subject to availability of funding and approval by the appropriate agencies. Eligible entities include:

  • Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) determinations;
  • Faith–based organizations; and 
  • Universities / educational institutions.

Applicants may obtain a copy of this RFA by any of the following means:
