The Department of Energy & Environment works in public, public charter and private schools through our Green DC Schools program. Our staff conducts cleanups, tree plantings, and assemblies for groups of students or the entire school.
At our assemblies, students can learn about recycling, energy efficiency and conservation, alternate forms of transportation, and how to become part of the DOEE Energy Patrol.
