SRC Site Evaluation

Through the SRC Site Evaluation Program, participants receive an assessment of potential green infrastructure (GI) opportunities. Participants must have at least .5 acres available and be located within the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4).This can be the first step for property owners who are interested in the Stormwater Retention Credit (SRC) Trading Program, but need assistance evaluating GI feasibility. GI practices provide many environmental and financial benefits.

The concept designs developed through this program can enable participation in the SRC Price Lock Program (to generate SRCs, an engineer will need to further refine the designs).

DOEE expects that the SRC Site Evaluation Program will make it easier to generate SRCs on land owned by non-profits, such as churches, cemeteries, schools, and similar institutions. DOEE will prioritize funding for these projects.

The SRC Site Evaluation Program provides technical assistance at no cost to participating properties, but financial assistance to construct the GI is not provided.

Application Process

Submit your application online through the DOEE Surface and Groundwater System. Applications will be reviewed as they are received as long as funding is available. Eligibility requirements and steps for participation are available in the program guide below.
