Sustainability Workshop for District Property Owners

Last Date:

Location:
Gensler, 2020 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006
Details:

You’re Invited to a Sustainability Workshop for District Property Owners

DOEE is hosting a practical workshop for building owners, utilizing the District’s key energy efficiency and sustainability programs. In the context of the Benchmarking and Disclosure Program, these programs can help green your property and improve your building‘s financial performance.

Improving energy performance has clear business appeal in reducing operating costs, improving financial performance and promoting environmental quality.  But these projects can be difficult to pay for out-of-pocket, and can create management challenges.

This workshop will present information about the Department’s sustainability resources, including technical assistance, financing, and direct rebates to support improved operations and enhanced sustainability. During the workshops the participants will receive technical assistance to help spur implementation of projects.

The workshop’s agenda will include:

  • an overview of three of the District’s signature sustainability programs: the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU), the DC PACE finance program, and the Smarter DC Challenge
  • financial incentives for major mechanical equipment and other building upgrades
  • concrete solutions for greening your property and enhancing sustainability
  • networking and business development opportunities for property owners, managers, service providers, and sustainability professionals
