Resources for Multi-Family Building Residents and Managers

The District has over 9,000 multi-family buildings, including rental apartments, condominiums, and cooperatives that together house 62% of District residents.  The majority of these buildings were built prior to 1978. The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) offers a variety of resources and information to help multi-family buildings conserve water and energy, reduce stormwater runoff, abate lead and asbestos hazards, and minimize pesticide use.  This site also includes links to additional external resources.
