The mission of the Pesticide Program is to ensure the protection of human health and the environment through the regulation of pesticide use and encouragement of reduced risk practices. While we recognize the benefits pesticides offer society we work to minimize risks resulting from pesticide production, distribution, use, misuse, storage and disposal. In addition, though education and public outreach we seek to promote reduced risk practices that result in positive human health and environmental outcomes.
