The Department of Energy and Environment, Fisheries and Wildlife Division (DOEE) requests applications for potential partners to be included in a grant application to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Clean Vessel Act grant program, CFDA 15.616, for funding to purchase or provide maintenance for boat sewage pumpout systems, portable pumpouts, or pumpout boats. Potential partners will support DOEE in promoting improved water quality and increased compliance with the District of Columbia’s ordinance prohibiting discharge of sanitary sewage from vessels, D.C. Official Code § 8-103.06 (m). DOEE may request from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service up to $1,500,000 for one or more projects. All accepted projects will be included in a competitive proposal to USFWS.
