  • Ozone Transport Commission - Notice on Public Comment Period and Public Hearing
    The Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) is announcing a public hearing on August 16, 2019 and soliciting public comment regarding whether the OTC should review recent operations and develop additional control measures within part of the Ozone Transport Region (OTR), under § 184(c) of the Clean Air Act (CAA), specifically the potential need for daily NOx limits at coal-fired Electricity Generating Units in Pennsylvania, as necessary to bring any area in the OTR into attainment of Federal ozone standards by the dates mandated by the CAA. The District is a member of the OTC and is in nonattainment of Federal ozone standards. Read More>>

  • Notice of Public Hearing and Public Comment Period- Draft FY 2020 Clean Water Construction Project Priority Lists
    DOEE invites the public to comment on the Draft FY 2020 Project Priority Lists for the District’s Clean Water Construction Grants Program. The PPLs identify and rank projects eligible to receive federal funds to construct or improve green infrastructure, wastewater treatment facilities, and other related infrastructure in FY 2020 and in future years.   • Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Public Comment Period – Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Intensity Limits for Fuels Used in Fuel-Burning Equipment
    This proposed rulemaking will establish a maximum carbon intensity threshold for fuel burned within the District, either for electricity or heating and will further align the District’s regulations with its climate goals by preventing the operation of high-carbon sources of heat and power, such as coal-fired fuel burning equipment, that do not utilize carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) or some other advanced CO2 emission reduction technology, consistent with the District’s plan to decarbonize the District’s energy system.
