DOEE seeks applications from potential partners to be included in a grant application to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) for funding to purchase or provide maintenance for boat sewage pumpout systems, portable pumpouts, or pumpout boats. DOEE may request up to $1.5 million from USFWS for one or more projects. Potential partners will support DOEE in promoting improved water quality and increased compliance with the District of Columbia’s statute prohibiting discharge of sanitary sewage from vessels.
