DOEE seeks eligible entities to provide high quality, cost-effective services to develop and conduct a flood risk outreach campaign to District neighborhoods, including Watts Branch communities. The goals of this Request for Applications (RFA) are to reduce the loss of life and damage to property and natural resources while focusing on building community resilience to future flooding, and to help the public understand the risk of flooding and the importance of mitigating that risk through individual and watershed-based flood mitigation projects. This project may be extended and additional funding provided, depending upon the performance of the Grantee and the availability of funds. The amount available for the project is approximately $57,000.
