DOEE seeks an applicant with expertise in the areas of engineering, science, and math concepts to support students building and racing of single-person, lightweight, battery-powered electric cars on a closed loop course. Proposals submitted to DOEE are encouraged to reflect applicant’s ideas for how to teach students critical thinking, innovation, advancements in renewable energy, electric vehicles, and battery storage technologies. Applicants will be provided a list of schools that will be participating in the DC Electric Vehicle Grand Prix (EVGP). The amount available for the project is approximately $80,000.
