Weatherization Policy Advisory Council

Weatherization Logo DOEE established a Weatherization Policy Advisory Council (PAC) to advise the Department on issues related to the administration of the weatherization program. PAC membership shall reflect the relevant groups whom the program represents in particular low-income households, especially those that include the elderly, the physically disadvantage and families with children. Membership shall include, but not limited to, advocates of the Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) clientele who manage or deliver Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) or WAP program services, or who participate in or have a history of activities advocating low-income interests, or recipients or eligible recipients of the Low-Income Weatherization Program.

PAC shall meet at least twice each year to consider the development of the subsequent year’s WAP State Plan and the implementation and general status of WAP. Where feasible, their comments and recommendations are incorporated prior to submission of the annual Plan to the United States Department of Energy in accordance to 10 CFR 440.17.

The WAP PAC may also meet as necessary in person, by telephone, or via electronic means to provide DOEE guidance and advice with respect to the development and implementation of the weatherization assistance program and its activities.
