This source category permit and associated applications cover the construction and operation of certain stationary diesel-fired emergency generator sets and other diesel-fired emergency engines subject to the federal “Standards of Performance for Stationary Compression Ignition Internal Combustion Engines” (NSPS Subpart IIII) and the air quality regulations of the District of Columbia. The second is a shorter renewal application form for any equipment that was previously approved for coverage under the previous versions of this source category permit (Permit No. 7048-SC-R1, issued September 27, 2019, or any earlier version) and has not had significant changes to the equipment or operations since the previous coverage approval.
