DDOE Proposes Regulations for the District’s Bag Law

WASHINGTON, DC - The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) has finalized the proposed rulemaking for the Anacostia River Clean Up and Protection Act of 2009 and submitted notice for publication in the DC Register. The proposed regulations explain how DDOE will implement and enforce the requirements of the Act.

Regulations on Retail Establishment Carryout Bags will be published in the D.C. Register on Friday, February 5, 2010. A 30-day public comment period will also begin on that date. Comments can be submitted online through the D.C. Municipal Regulations and D.C. Register website.
