Notice of Funding Availability – Watershed Protection Projects to Educate and Train Green Zone Environmental Program Participants

DOEE seeks eligible entities to provide education, training, and hands-on activities to participants in the Green Zone Environmental Program (GZEP). Projects should focus on improving water quality and, in particular, reducing the impacts of stormwater runoff on District water bodies. Additionally, these projects should provide GZEP participants with entry-level skills in the green economy. The amount available for this grant announcement is $60,000. An applicant can request up to $15,000. DOEE plans to make multiple awards.

Eligibility
The following entity may appy for these grants:

  • Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for these grants
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Universities/educational institutions and
  • Private Enterprises

The deadline for application submissions is February 23, 2018 at 4:30pm.

DOEE will host a pre-application public information session on January 30 at 1pm at DOEE Headquarters located at 1200 First Street NE, 5th floor.
