Notice of Funding Availability - Kingman Island Boating Access

DOEE seeks eligible entities to submit applications for design and installation of one or more facilities that will increase or improve public, recreational boating access for person-powered watercraft to the Anacostia River and Kingman Lake, in the District of Columbia. These include canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. The amount available for the project is approximately $387,000 for a period ending September 30, 2021.

The deadline for application submissions is May 13, 2019, at 4:30 pm. Five hard copies must be submitted to the above address and a complete electronic copy must be e-mailed to [email protected] .

Eligibility: The institutions below may apply for these grants:

  • Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
  • Universities/educational institutions; and
  • Private Enterprises.
