Notice of Funding Availability - Watershed Stewardship Program for District Residents

DOEE seeks eligible entities to submit applications that propose a comprehensive watershed protection stewardship program to at least 20 District residents. The program should educate and empower residents to address the historic and ongoing degradation of local waterways and watersheds from pollution, urbanization, and stormwater runoff using hands-on watershed stewardship curriculum. Engaging, educating, and empowering District residents to become stewards District’s waters and the Chesapeake Bay are important facets of this RFA. The project period is one (1) year, with funding up to $32,000. DOEE may extend the grant for another 2 additional years, if funding is available.

The deadline for application submissions is December 2, 2019 at 4:30 PM Five hard copies must be submitted to the above address and a complete electronic copy must be e-mailed to [email protected].

Eligibility: All the institutions below may apply for these grants:

  • Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations
  • Faith-based organizations;
  • Universities/educational institutions; and
