Join DOEE wildlife biologists Dan Rauch and Damien Ossi on an evening nature walk and tour of Heritage Island. Dan and Damien will lead the group on a tour of the wetlands, forested swamp and other habitats in Kingman & Heritage Islands Park, pointing out birds and other wildlife, native plants, and DOEE’s ecological restoration efforts on Heritage Island.
Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and bring binoculars if you have them (we will bring a few pairs to loan). Be prepared for mosquitoes and muddy conditions.
Meet at the main gate entrance to Kingman & Heritage Islands Park in the RFK Stadium parking lot off of Oklahoma Avenue.
