DOEE seeks eligible entities to develop a model for financing and building Community Solar Projects (CSPs) that can be replicated and used to catalyze the District's community solar market. The model proposed by potential applicants must be financially sustainable and must clearly demonstrate how private properties can be used to transfer the benefits of renewable energy to low-income District residents. The amount available for the project is approximately $100,000.

The deadline for application submissions is 6/20/2016, at 4:30 pm. Five hard copies must be submitted to the above address and a complete electronic copy must be e-mailed to [email protected].
Eligibility: The following institutions may apply for these grants:
-Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
-Private Enterprises.
