DOEE solicits grant applications from eligible entities (called “Applicants”). As a part of the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget Support Act of 2016, (D.C. Official Code § 6091 et seq.) DOEE was tasked with conducting, through a competitive grant, a feasibility study of municipalizing the electric utility serving the District and to research innovative practices that can help utilities address the challenges and opportunities of the changing energy landscape in the 21st century. This Request for Applications (RFA) is looking for a qualified applicant to conduct this study. The amount available for the project is $100,000. The deadline for application submissions is 4/28/2017, at 4:30 p.m.
