Christopher Brown, Associate Director, Communications
Christopher Brown is the Associate Director of the Office of Communications, Engagement and Outreach.
Christopher began working in District Government with the DC Energy Office as the deputy to the Communications and Outreach Director, where he aided in developing strategic initiatives, energy education programs, and community engagement efforts to address energy efficiency and affordability concerns across the city. He continued on as the agency was folded into the Department of Environment, and subsequently the Department of Energy and Environment. Recently, he helped lead communication strategies to address concerns during the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic for both residents and city employees. Christopher now supervises communications and outreach efforts for the agency, including social media accounts, website maintenance, community outreach, video production and animation, and graphic design efforts.
Christopher earned his bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University. He is excited to work with DOEE to create a healthier, livable, more equitable, and green environment for all District residents, businesses, workers, and visitors.
