Today the District published the fourth annual disclosure of energy and water consumption data for large commercial and multifamily buildings in the city. The disclosure includes detailed data on the energy and water performance of over 1,500 of the city’s largest buildings for calendar year 2016, covering over 280 million square feet. A glossary defining all the fields in the dataset is also available.

DDOE is required by the Clean and Affordable Energy Act of 2008 to publicly disclose the ENERGY STAR® Benchmarking results for each building that is subject to the benchmarking law, beginning with the 2nd year of benchmarking data for that building. This disclosure covers private buildings over 50,000 gross square feet and District-owned buildings over 10,000 gross square. See data from previous years.
