Application Form and Source Category Permit 7115-SC for Non-NSPS Diesel Emergency Engines Subject to NESHAP Subpart ZZZZ
This source category permit and associated applications cover the operation of certain existing stationary diesel-fired emergency generator sets and other diesel-fired emergency engines subject to the “National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines” (NESHAP Subpart ZZZZ) and the air quality regulations of the District of Columbia, but not subject to the federal “Standards of Performance for Stationary Compression Ignition Internal Combustion Engines” (NSPS Subpart IIII). The first is an initial application form for any equipment that has not previously been covered by an air quality permit. The second is a shorter renewal application form for any equipment that was previously approved for coverage under the previous version of this source category permit (Permit No. 7115-SC, issued September 28, 2016) and has not had significant changes to the equipment or operations since the previous coverage approval.
