Appliance Efficiency Standards - Showerheads

  • Showerheads: "Showerhead" means a device through which water is discharged for a shower bath and includes a hand-held showerhead but does not include a safety shower showerhead.
  • Showerheads shall not exceed a maximum flow rate of 2.0 gpm at 80 psi;

Showerheads must be tested in accordance with Appendix S to Subpart B of Part 430 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, titled "Uniform Test Method for Measuring the Water Consumption of Faucets and Showerheads", as in effect on January 3, 2017.
