How to Develop a DOEE Grant Application
Watch this 4-part training series to learn about DOEE's Request for Applications (RFA) and gain the tools to develop an effective response. This series is designed for those with zero to limited grant writing experience, and can be watched sequentially or independently.
As you watch the videos, please feel free to refer to the corresponding supporting documents.
Session 1: Where to Start
In this first of four trainings, viewers will be introduced to DOEE's mission and how to find out about Notices of Funding Announcements (NOFAs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs). Viewers will also learn how to get started in developing an application by determining eligibility, reading the full RFA and getting started on the required documents.
Session 2: Creating an Outline
In this second of four trainings, viewers will be introduced to a project design tool and use it to create an outline in response to a sample DOEE RFA. We will also review the workplan content and how it is used to flush out project details.

Session 3: Let's Talk Budget!
In this third of four trainings, viewers will understand the different categories of a budget table, learn how to develop a budget and the level of detail that should go into a budget justification narrative.

Session 4: Putting All the Pieces Together
In this final training of the 4-part training series, viewers will learn about developing the application information section, and putting together the project description. Viewers will also learn about how to submit your application, the selection process, post award requirements and what to do if you're not awarded.
