The District of Columbia’s 2024-2029 Nonpoint Source (NPS) Management Plan was developed to update the District’s previous plan and was approved by EPA. It addresses guidelines adopted by the EPA that require states to update or revise their NPS Management Plan at least every five years. The District's NPS Program is housed in DOEE’s Watershed Protection Division. The NPS Management Plan (attached below) serves as an umbrella document that references the many diverse NPS management programs, projects, and efforts to address nonpoint pollution in the District.
