DOEE is transforming the District with programs in energy efficiency, electrification, solar power, EV charging, and green financing.
The Strategic Energy Investment Dashboard (SEID) is a window into this progress. The interactive map showcases rebates, grants, and investments delivered to households and buildings across DC. The map displays support from initiatives like the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU), DC Green Bank, and other DOEE programs—mapped directly to the communities benefiting from them.
Explore how DOEE initiatives are distributed across the city, connect with partner organizations, and learn how residents can access available programs in their communities.
- Visit the Strategic Energy Investment Dashboard Map >>
Explore the dashboard and see how clean energy investments are shaping a more sustainable future for every neighborhood.
To help users better explore the data, the dashboard allows filtering and analysis by:
- Geography: Ward, ANC, or Census Tract
- Project Type: energy efficiency, electrification, solar, and more
- Building type: commercial, multifamily, and other categories
- Partners: organizations such as DCSEU, DC Green Bank, and others
- Fiscal year: track investments over time
By publishing this information, DOEE aims to increase transparency and improve public understanding of how energy-related investments are distributed throughout the District.
Partner organizations and projects:
DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) offers a wide range of energy-efficiency programs for DC residents and businesses.
Efficiency projects: DCSEU offers rebates for energy-efficient appliances such as light bulbs and electronics, funding for low-to-moderate-income buildings through the Income Qualified Efficiency Fund (IQEF), and support for larger commercial buildings via the Pay for Performance (P4P) program.
Electrification projects: The DCSEU offers several electrification programs, including the Affordable Home Electrification Program (AHEP) for income-qualified residents and the Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator (AHRA)for multifamily buildings, both providing free upgrades like hot water replacement and induction stoves funded by federal money.
DC Green Bank
DC Green Bank provides affordable financing to support clean energy, energy efficiency, and climate resilience projects. Green Bank loans grow the clean economy by investing in initiatives that make the District more equitable, sustainable, and resilient.
We aim to update our next iteration of SEID map in 2026 with updates including FY25 data, reclassification of loans into different project types, and many more.
