Forecasting Our Future: A Conversation with Dr. Katharine Hayhoe about Climate Change and Extreme Weather

How will climate change affect the District of Columbia now and in the future? Climate scientist, Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, will present the results of her study of how hotter temperatures, rising seas, and extreme weather events will impact the District. Katharine’s work was featured in the Emmy Award-winning documentary The Years of Living Dangerously, and in 2014 she was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.  Following her presentation, Katharine will be joined by a panel of climate experts, policy makers and adaptation specialists to discuss how best to communicate with impacted communities about the risks posed by climate change and how to translate climate science into action.
