The Leadership Council for a Cleaner Anacostia River serves as a multi-jurisdiction advisory group for the District’s Anacostia River Sediment Project (ARSP), a project to study and remediate contaminated sediments in the Anacostia River. The Leadership Council meets quarterly and utilizes the knowledge and influence of its members to advise and support the ARSP. It also addresses ongoing pollution sources to the river from multiple jurisdictions throughout the Anacostia watershed.
