Weatherization Logo Weatherization Day is an opportunity to highlight the impact of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which saves energy, improves the health and safety of homes, and supports jobs and small businesses.

On October 30, 2018 from 10 AM to 3 PM, the DOEE Energy Administration’s Affordability & Efficiency Division will host the 2018 Weatherization Day event in the Historic Anacostia neighborhood. Learn how you can weatherize your home for the upcoming cold months and utilize the programs available through D.C. Department of Energy and Environment! Come enjoy live music, BBQ, a 1K weatherization walk, a tour of Frederick Douglass’s historic home, an exhibit of an energy audit, a children’s craft station, tents with services available to the community, and much more!
