DOEE's Office of Urban Agriculture administers funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide subawards to innovate research proposals that enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in the District.


DOEE's Request for Partners - USDA’s FY25 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program is OPEN and accepting applications until June 16, 2025
DOEE seeks eligible entities to partner with DOEE on its application to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Specialty Crop Block Grant Program FY 2025 Request for Applications. DOEE intends to seek funding to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in the District. Specialty crops are defined as fruits and vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture). The deadline for applications is June 16, 2025. Read More>>
