Floodplain Review Flowchart

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Any development project in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) requires a building permit from the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA).  After submitting a building permit application to DCRA, the reviewing agencies (i.e., DCRA, DDOE and HSEMA) will review and approve the permit in accordance with the Floodplain Review Flowchart. The applicant shall address and revise the plan accordingly to obtain the approval from all agencies before the building permit can be issued by DCRA.
