Notice of Funding Availability – Community Stormwater Solutions Grants

Friday, November 30, 2018

DOEE seeks to eligible entities to propose community-supported and –inspired projects that support efforts to protect and enhance, directly or indirectly, the District’s waterbodies and watersheds. Projects should raise awareness and lead to behavior change around watershed- and stormwater-related issues, through education, installation, and maintenance of runoff-reducing green infrastructure, art installations, or another means described in Section 1.6 of the RFA (see below to download).

There are two special focus areas for this year’s RFA: projects that support (1) the restoration of, access to, and environmental education at, and in the neighborhoods surrounding, Kingman and Heritage Islands and (2) watershed restoration and community engagement projects that benefits local streams, build climate resilience, and improve downstream water quality in DOEE’s Targeted Subwatersheds. This funding may serve as a means to initiate a program or to build capacity among community-based organizations and small businesses.
