DDOE's Watershed Protection Division (WPD) protects and restores the environmental health of our watersheds through stormwater management and sediment and erosion control regulations.

The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) provides technical and financial assistance to help low-income residents reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.

The District is a densely populated city that is also home to a wide assortment of wildlife. Occasionally, these two populations interact and sometimes it isn’t welcomed.

DOEE’s Fisheries and Wildlife Division works to enhance wildlife populations and conserve sensitive species by protecting them and by improving their habitat.
