The District Department of the Environment is partnering with Audubon Maryland-DC and the Audubon At Home program to offer FREE educational workshops in which participants can learn about creating wildlife habitat in their yard. Come see one of our stationary monitors and learn a little about what our air quality monitoring team does every day! The Anacostia Freeway Near-Road monitoring station measures nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and PM 2.5 and is right next to I-295. We’re opening it to the public and hope you can come visit!
