New for 2027 registration: DPW's Solid Waste Collectors Registration
In submitting a registration application, manufacturers are required to provide a “description of the manufacturer's electronics recycling program in the District, including details for the collection, handling, disposition, recycling or reuse of collected covered electronic equipment and the location of anticipated recycling facilities and end markets.” § 8–1041.03(b)(4). As part of your 2027 Recycling and Reuse Plan, we will ask the manufacturer for their Solid Waste Collector Registration number to confirm that their hauler has registered with the Department of Public Works (DPW). If your hauler is not registered, direct them to register with DPW. Learn more about DPW Solid Waste Collector Registration and Reporting.
Manufacturers, Partnership Leads, and Representative Organizations Leads do not register with DPW. The organizations designated to transport collected electronic waste under your submitted recycling plan needs to have this registration number.
